I was a graduate student in Computer Science, and I just received my Master's degree in December 2005. My research interests include computer graphics ,image processing, database systems and Web services.
Currently I am working with Dr. Hamid R. Arabnia on my master research project of 3D information retrieval and evaluation from a pair of images taken from different distances. Meanwhile, I'm also working with Dr. John A. Miller and Dr. Jessica Kissinger on ApiDB project as my RA job (research assistant), in which we'll build a federated system through Web serivces to integrate genome databases. As part of my RA job, I'm actively involved in WDK project development with UPenn guys, which provides a uniform web interface to access genome databases using java server side technologies.
I am an experienced programmer, with more than five years' professional working experiences on software engineering. I'm excellent at Java, VB, C#, and familiar with C, C++, but languages are not my only skills; I have comprehensive knowledge on OS and DBMS administration, as well as software architecture designing; what's more important, with experiences from work and knowledge from professional training, I'm pretty good at project management, which I think is the core of the success of software development.
Making programs is such a magical thing to me. I like the feelings of beautiful code flowing out through my fingers, and I like to see the programs bringing my dream come true. I am writing programs with great fun and passion :) |
