- Formulating Master's thesis on 3D information retrieval and evaluation from a pair of images;
developed Watershed image segmentation, and local/global component matching; implemented in Java.
- Led a team of three to integrate several genome databases (Oracle 10g) through Tomcat/Axis Web services, Ontology/schema mapping, business workflow (BPEL), and other Java server side technologies ( GusDB Federation Project).
- Developed query federation and query history features in the new production release of WDK, using Java, JSP, Oracle 10g and PostgreSQL 8.0 ( University of Pennsylvania's WDK Project: http://www.gusdb.org/wdk/).
- Created an Efficient Web Crawler to crawl transaction information from ebay; implemented in Java multi-threads and MySQL (an associated project with Georgia Institute of Technology).
- Built an Uncertain Knowledge Provenance & Trust system that simulates an autonomous trust community using knowledge inference; implemented in Java.
- Designed an algorithm to predict RNA secondary structures using Gibbs Sampling method using Java (RNA Bioinformatics project).
